E-W2 Questions and Answers

Q: What is my company code, and where do I get this information?
A: A company code is what BDS/IBF Group issues to differentiate clients. This code needs to be acquired from your employer/payroll service company.

Q: What is E-W2 Enrollment?
A: E-W2 allows you to receive your current years w2 electronically instead of through the normal mail. When you signup you will need to have an email address that can be confirmed. This is done via a link in the confirmation email that you receive after registering.

Q: Can I change my email address or elect not to receive my W2 via Email?
A: Yes, return to www.w2copy.com and select E-W2 Signup/Update. This must be done prior to January 15th or until the employer file is received.

Q: Does an E-W2 cost me anything?
A: No this is a free service provided by your employer or payroll service company.

Q. I signed up on the website but never received my email address confirmation email, why?
A. You will want to check your spam filters for your email account to make sure that it is not in that email folder. You will also want to make sure that your company or ISP is allowing these emails to make it through their spam blockers to get to you. They will want to add billingdoc.com to their whitelists.

Q. I requested my E-W2 to be emailed and I have not gotten it?
A: If you signed up for an E-W2 you should have received a confirmation email with a link to verify your email address. If you did not receive that email then you would have been unable to verify to us that your email address was valid and you would not have been emailed your E-W2. All non-confirmed email accounts will have the W2 sent via USPS.

Q: Do I have to sign up again for next years E-W2 enrollment?
A: Yes, please return to www.w2copy.com after October 1 and enroll for the next year's w2 that will be processed in January.

Q. I received the E-W2 pdf however I am unable to open it, what is the password it is asking for?
A. This password is the personal access code you used when signing up for the E-W2 or it is your social security number (with out the hyphens) if not signed up for an E-W2.

Q. I received the email attachment but I am unable to open the file, why?
A. You must have Adobe Acrobat Reader 5.0 or greater to open this file. If you do not have this program you can get it for free from the link on our web site home page. If you have Adobe Acrobat and still can not open the pdf try another computer if you still can not call the support center.

Q. Why is there a charge for me to get a reprint of my w2 when I have not received the first one?
A. All original w2s were mailed or emailed(with address provided) out to the address the payroll company provided. When you request a reprint this is a "reissued statement".

Q: When can I anticipate receiving my W2?
A: Your employer has until January 31st to issue your w2. Please do not start inquiries until after January 31st.

Q. Why can't I find my W2?
A. Either we did not process your w2 or your payroll company has not chosen for you to have web access to your w2. We only process w2s for clients of BDS/IBF. Check with your employer to see if we processed for them. If we do process your w2 and you still cannot find it then please call the call center at 1-208-649-1131 or 1-208-459-1327 and we may be able to help you get a copy. Please be aware a charge may exist for this service.

Q. What if I don't have a credit card?
A. You may send in a money order (NO CHECKS) to: BDS-W2 Reprint, 915 Main Street, Caldwell, ID 83605, Include your name, social security number, and current address you want the w2 mailed to on a separate piece of paper. Make money order payable to BDS-W2 Reprint. You may also pay for your w2 with a credit card that is not yours (i.e. friend, parent etc. with their permission).

If these question and answers do not give you the answer you are looking for please email w2@billingdoc.com.
